In addition to having over a decade of experience in the financial services industry, our advisors are ERISA 3(38) investment managers, a special type of fiduciary who has been specifically appointed to have full discretionary authority and control to make investment decisions. Only certain types of financial institutions may be appointed as an ERISA 3(38) investment manager, and our firm meets all the criteria. In the wake of the changing fiduciary rules in the financial industry, working with an ERISA 3(38) fiduciary is a key distinction and core advantage to our clients. In the face of ever-increasing litigation and heightened regulatory scrutiny, many plan sponsors want this extra layer of protection, especially if they are not comfortable making the plan’s investment decisions themselves.
